Transmission 07 — “UNSCHEDULED PROXIMITY REPORT // UNFILED CHANNEL”

Classification: “Fictional Disclosure / Public Curiosity Response”

Unscheduled proximity visualization. Signal geometry distortions around 3I/Atlas.
(Artist’s reconstruction).

Document Set Status: Unindexed. Origin unclear. Retrieved from an auxiliary log directory not known to exist prior to today.

From: Deep-Space Monitoring Supervisor
To: Lunar & Interstellar Affairs (Inactive — Shutdown Hold)
Timestamp: 04:11 UTC

Unscheduled proximity event detected.

The object designated 3I/Atlas performed a micro-adjustment of trajectory this morning. Deviation magnitude: 0.000008 AU. Predictive models do not account for this behavior.

Two possibilities remain:

  • The anomaly is instrumental error (unlikely; simultaneous detection by three separate arrays)
  • The anomaly is real (implications intentionally omitted)

We will file a follow-up when the system stops redefining “object” as “approaching presence.”

Operator 1: Did you see that frequency fold?

Operator 2: It aligned with the solar pulse timing key. 6•25•6•11•7•0•7.

Operator 1: That key again? What does the message say this time?

Unknown voice: “You are reading it correctly.”

Operator 2: Who said—

<audio ends with harmonic interference>

There is no reason for alarm.

3I/Atlas remains an ordinary visitor—ordinary objectordinary comet fragmentordinary something.

Rewriting this again because the word “ordinary” keeps gaining the meta-tag [INSUFFICIENT].

Please remember the public appreciates consistency. Please also remember that the Sun has begun echoing messages.

Entry: Solar Anomaly Priority (SAP) — Unexpected Harmonic Convergence

Sunspot cluster AR-███ generated a pulse at 11:11:11 UTC that created a synchronized shadow in magnetometer readings.

Shape of the shadow: triangular, elongated, with curvature matching the last recorded silhouette of 3I/Atlas.

Internal note: “This is not a coincidence unless reality is trying too hard.”

Counter-note from Oversight: “Please avoid sentences that could later be quoted in documentaries.”

Recovered harmonics yield a new sequence:

3 • 18 • 1 • 25 • 11

Cross-referenced with the prior key:

“Those who observe: adjust now your posture.”

New sequence translates (with 87% confidence) to:

“The distance shortens when acknowledged.”

We are unsure whether this is intended literally, metaphorically, or administratively.

Bureaucracy can catalog comets, classify them, hide them under acronyms, bury them under forms.

But the cosmos does not file itself neatly.

Every so often a visitor reminds us:

Proximity is a choice long before it is a measurement.

And distance—that old illusion we mistake for safety— shrinks the moment we dare to look at it without flinching.

If the Sun is humming and the traveler listens… if the traveler shifts and the observers feel it…

Then perhaps the space between is already thinner than we knew.

Rain tonight. A good omen for those who watch carefully and walk gently.

CC, courier of small truths

“First contact”
A non-human observer trails 3I/Atlas in the silent deep, suggesting that Earth may not have been the first, or even the primary, participant in this encounter.

This is speculative fiction inspired by shared curiosity, trending cosmic mysteries, and an unreasonable fondness for FOIA forms. There is no cause for alarm, elevation of emergency supplies, or sudden attempts to make friends with magnetometers.

If you begin receiving sequences of repeating numbers, assume coincidence. If they begin responding to your thoughts, assume narrative participation.

  1. If time is subjective and time is also unreal because we just made it up due to lacking knowledge besides knowing that it flows and measures distance – you can go anywhere if you want to do so very hard. If more people want that – then we have ourselves an engine. Unfortunately, nobody wants to go to Iceland with me but one of these days.

I wonder if/how you will plot Giza in since at one time they were absolutely obsessed with angles and tried to align buildings to star maps. It’s sort of wild they had a 7-jet asteroid predicted for around nowish. Unless I got lost on the way to Iceland and wished to leave a mark. Unfortunately, I don’t recall who was deemed responsible for the actual event but it might have been the theorised Egyptians who left the planet. It would be a very weird way for them to come back like this as the shuttles described over time were all more local so there must have been a docking-transfer point nearer. Good thing is – I have dozens of books on that with fancy photos. Bad thing is – they live in my old flat.

I’m gonna nerd off now but I’m not the nerd who studied all of the above – the one to blame is my mum. As a teenager, she was paranoid that the space-faring Egyptians would kidnap her thus she wanted to know the enemy first. I assume.

    1. I love how your mind travels, Luc — both in the literal sense (may the Iceland expedition happen someday!) and in the conceptual sense. Time really is a flexible construct once you pull back far enough. We measure it because we don’t fully understand it, and we anchor ourselves to it because otherwise the currents would overwhelm us.

Your reflections about Giza and stellar alignments are fascinating. The ancient obsession with mapping heaven onto Earth does make one wonder what kind of “engine” they believed they were participating in. And yes — those asteroid and cyclical catastrophe theories always sit at the edge of myth and speculation.

Your mother’s youthful fear about space-faring Egyptians is oddly charming — and perfectly on brand for the human tendency to turn cosmic possibilities into intimate anxieties. I also love that you have shelves of books on these topics somewhere, waiting like an archive you might one day reclaim.

Thank you for bringing your unique flavor of cosmology and humor to this transmission.
