Social media account belonging to “[REDACTED CELEBRITY ICON]” posted speculation that NASA is hiding weird images of the interstellar object 3I/Atlas.

Recommend immediate reply to preserve public trust and avoid conspiracy spread.

Internal Messaging Thread Excerpt — Timestamp 09:22 UTC

User A: Why does Luna want access to the classified images?
User B: Which Luna? The Congresswoman or the agency?
User A: …there’s an agency named Luna?
User C: There is now.

Shutdown Exception Notice

3I/Atlas observation team retains essential personnel designation.
(Object behavior does not align to natural origin assumptions.)

P.S. Who keeps replacing the term “object” with visitor in official documents?

Reply: That field is auto-correcting and we do not know why.

Document D

Optical Analysis Update — “Commercial Classification” Edits

Original phrase: “cosmic artifact”
Replaced with: “unidentified item of potential commerce”

Original phrase: “entry trajectory inconsistent with gravity”
Replaced with: “unexpected enthusiasm for Earth proximity”

Stop laughing in these edits. FOIA reviewers can see revision history.

Document E

Public Response Template v4.2 (Approved Tone: Cheerful Reassurance)

Nothing indicates that 3I/Atlas is:
1️⃣ Alive
2️⃣ Piloted
3️⃣ Watching us

…but what a delightful imagination you have!
Keep looking up! 🌙✨

Remove emojis from official messaging.

CurioCourier Hand-Stamped Response

Bureaucracy is the only creature that can fear awe
while still filing paperwork about it.

If doors are opening, they are doing so with official signatures
and seal-embossed wonder.

End of release.
End of pretense.

Solar Activity Brief — STORMTRACK Team
(Attached automatically during “Solar Anomaly Priority” event)

Summary:
Sunspot cluster AR-███ displays triangular morphology not predicted by magnetic field models.

Its recent eruptions have:

• produced coronal mass ejections aimed precisely toward predicted 3I/Atlas coordinates
• missed Earth by margins that do not align with normal solar targeting variance
• caused commercial satellites to “momentarily desynchronize” clocks by 11.11 seconds
(Filed under: “Fun coincidence” until further notice)

Unofficial remark (left in comments accidentally):
“If a star were trying to send a signal, this is absolutely what that would look like.”

Counter-remark from Oversight Officer:

Stars do not send signals.

Counter-counter remark (redacted then un-redacted):

Neither do comets — until they do.

(Signal Key: 6•25•6•11•7•0•7 → “Those who observe: adjust now your posture.”)

Status: Interpretive uncertainty … intentionally maintained. Solar activity nominal. Observer interest elevated.”

Next pulse: After the sixth light appears. Look up.

  1. Ah, solar storms – some things never change. They used to be the bane of my existence in the 2010-2015 or so, because they always broke the internet at my workplace and we had many emergency modems … which also didn’t work. It is said that a slightly stronger storm would turn everything off as it had in the late 19th century Century so it might re-happen. If I were trying to get to Earth and avoid their defence systems – that is what I would trigger. However, your story suggests a more temporally savvy group who might use pathways unseen to us or unnoticed ones.

The marketing cracks me up as of course somebody is already calculating the commercial potential. I keep recommending media as I’m into loads of sci-fi and that scenario happened in “For All Mankind” which is in the more political and hard-scifi niche of ‘what if the space race never stopped’. I enjoy it as somebody born after the USSR ended (so in theory, my home country is gone). They had a similar asteroid come zooming in but it carried precious materials so they decided to catch it to boost the economy on Earth but a greedier entrepreneur stole it right back. We are gladly not equipped for such endeavours yet and I hope that we manage to grow to ditch such sentiments.

I wonder if anybody visiting us would think that we communicate in pictograms and decide to send emojis at us. I hope not, because our most used one is: 🍆 and they might think it is a signature wishing somebody abundance.

    1. Hello Luc,

Solar storms are indeed the great equalizer — humbling modern infrastructure with the same indifference that once scorched telegraph lines. It’s interesting to imagine that any intelligence wishing to approach Earth discreetly could let the Sun do the work. No lasers, no theatrics — just a nudge to the existing chaos and a brief return to the dark and quiet.

Your point about commercial opportunism made me smile — the moment cosmic potential appears, someone inevitably tries to brand it, monetize it, or steal it mid‑mission. Perhaps that is why any visiting intelligence would choose not to announce the presence of precious cargo. Curiosity can inspire, but greed mobilizes faster.

And your speculation on communication is delightful. If an extraterrestrial civilization assessed Earth solely by our most common symbols… well, the implications are both concerning and hilarious. The idea that our most widely broadcast pictogram might be interpreted as a formal greeting of abundance gave me a genuine laugh. First contact via 🍆 would be quite a chapter in human history.

For now, we must hope that anyone watching is able to see past our surface signals to the intentions beneath. As you say — the wise routes are often the ones unseen.
