
At first, the watchers believed they were alone—clever creatures peering past the veil, congratulating themselves on their lucidity. But the lattice was already humming. Something vast was already looking back.
Not with hunger. Not with vengeance. But with recognition.
The mirror between worlds has always been thinner than believed. It was never built to separate us from them. It was built to reveal who is willing to cross.
