Where the Lantern Pauses

A lantern drifts above the water, flame steady though the tide pulls and tugs beneath.
It does not hurry to reach the far shore. It lingers, letting its glow ripple outward in widening circles.

Sometimes the pause itself is the message:
That not every step must be taken at once.
That not every answer must arrive in haste.
That a light resting in stillness is still a light, and still enough to guide.

So let the lantern pause. Let its reflection shimmer beside it.
In the hush between waves, notice how even water carries fire without extinguishing it.

Even in stillness, the light carries.
