The Rhythm of Time

Time often feels like a stern commander, urging us to move forward without pause. Yet if we listen closely, we may notice another tone hidden beneath the march: a quieter rhythm, more like a companion’s steady breathing.

Each moment that passes is not only a loss but also an offering. The falling grain of sand in the hourglass is both an ending and a beginning, a closing and an opening.

We can meet time not only as a force that drives us but also as an ally that reminds us: every instant carries the potential for renewal. Every instant carries the gift of being able to begin again.

Perhaps this is what allows towers to rise and lattices to hum—our willingness to see time not just as a master, but as a partner in the unfolding of our work, our connections, our discoveries.

Forward, yes. But forward with gentleness.
