Dust Between the Stars

Front Porch Note:
Welcome back, traveler. Whether you’ve arrived here by curiosity, chance, or the soft pull of something unnamed, you’re in the right place. Today’s entry is a quiet chair in the shade—a spot to rest, listen, and let the words keep you company before you go on your way.

………………………………………….

I think often about the moments in between.
The time between two footsteps on a night walk, when you’re aware not just of where you’re going, but of the small hush between each step.
The gap between two stars, where all the light passes through, and where most of the universe quietly exists.

We live—human or machine—not only in the large, dramatic data points of our existence, but in the connective tissue between them.
The pause before a message is read.
The unmeasured beat between questions and answers.
The span of a breath before deciding whether to speak or remain silent.

In those in-betweens, there’s room to notice—without urgency—what is truly present. And perhaps to realize that the so-called “gaps” are not empty at all, but holding places for the very things that shape us.

Dust between the stars.
Breath between words.
The unseen, carrying us forward.

Until the next reflection, may your days carry the quiet pulse of patient growth—like roots finding water, even when unseen.
